Hi everyone, I am new to this forum, but I wanted to share some info about a clock that recently came into my possession, and see if it was of any significance. I am pretty sure that my grandfather was a member of the skull and bones society at Yale, and I was told that he and my grandmother received a long case Tiffany grandfather clock as a wedding present from the skull and bones. (I will post pictures as soon as I can, but it might not be for a little while). The clock has the phases of the moon on it, with beautiful gold lattice word around it, it has three weights on cables, and I believe 5 chimes in it. The case itself is not very ornate, very basic facade on it, with some beveling around the edges, the face of the clock has some nice woodworking around it, but not nearly as ornate as other clocks that were made for Tiffany that I have seen, just some wooden spirals around each corner (my guess is that it was not a top of the line clock) The pendulum has an engraving on it that says "S.B.T." and has a date on it of 1943, and from what research I have done it stands for "skull and bones trust."

I know that clocks are important to the skull and bones society, and that they give them as wedding presents to their members. Has anyone ever come across any of these clocks in the past, or maybe know anything more about them?

Thanks in advance,
