Post subject: grandfather clock stopped working
I recently had my grandfather clocked serviced and i adjusted the pendulum to make it run faster because it was 45 minutes slow, and now the pendulum will swing for just a little bit with a tick tock sound and then stops all together. Any suggestions? I have tried everything short of having someone else come out and fix it again.
Thanks

Have you made certain the clock is level (particularly the movment)? You could also try to adjust the beat (as per the instructions included with your movement). It could be that the bob adjustment (or even servicing) could have thrown the crutch arm out of beat. This would be evidenced by an uneven "tick tock" while the pendulum was still in motion. You could also check to make certain the suspension spring is not broken. More often than not, one of these three suggestions will remedy the problem at hand.
