Post subject: Grandfather Clock
Hello! I have grandfather clock Ridgeway model 308. Leveled well. Cleaned and oiled clock a year ago. Worked fine since that but now clock stops in 5-6 minutes. Was trying to adjust pendulum suspension wheel with no success. Please, help. Thanks

Is the Tick and the Tock of the same duration? If the pendulum seems to "stay" longer on one side than the other, push the pendulum/leader over more to that side. This test can be performed by leaning the clock in a direction that causes the beat (tick/tock) to become even. You will have to move the verge over ever so slightly in the same direction as you leaned the clock. If the clock is in beat but still will not continue running, you will have to determine where power to the escape wheel is being lost and repair it. Good luck.
