Post subject: Harland Grandfather clock plans
I have the plans for the Harland Grandfather clock--the plans seem to be incomplete--no measurements or material listing for the glass--items number 30-38 I believe. Are they missing or how do I figure them?
Since this is my first clock project, is there a video that would be helpful in constructing this clock?

I believe that the Harland clock case only requires four glass pieces: Two glass panels for the lower portion of the case right and left sides; One glass panel for the upper front door; One glass panel for the lower front door. Side note: Wood grill panels (made as per the plan specifications) will fill the upper openings on the case sides.
Typically, glass panels should be 1/8" undersized from the opening they are fitting into (inside rabbet to inside rabbet). This will allow 1/16" space for normal expansion/contraction of the wood (and proper clearance for the glass).
Example: I calculate the upper front door glass opening to be 13-5/32"H X 13-7/32"W (inside rabbet to inside rabbet). The glass should measure 13-1/32"H X 13-3/32"W. Generally the glass panel could have a tolerence of +0; -1/32".
You can also wait until you have completed these various wood parts and create cardboard templates that would serve as guides for glass size. Simply base the cardboard template on the opening and then undersize it 1/8" (1/16" on all four sides).
