Hi, I got a smith enfield clock for christmas yesterday which is lovely and what I asked for but I think I may have broken it !!

It was in full working order when I received it . I could only get it to work for a few minutes so had a look on the internet and it said I needed to reset the beat, which I did by moving the pendulum to one side and then
releasing. This worked and it ticked away happily for five hours.

I then realised it was running fast so I opened it back up and adjusted the little bit on the pendulum for slow and fast. the clock then stopped again so I moved the pendulum to one side as I had done before but fear I may have been too rough as it has now stopped ticking altogether. Have I broken a spring ? will it cost me loads to get it mended ?
Thanks
Krista
