Post subject: Help ID a clock
Good evening, gentlemen! I am new here and I dont know anything about mecanical clocks. I inherited the clock which can be seen in the photos bellow. Please be so kind to identify and let me know the type/manufacturer, value and the year of fabrication of this clock and eventually a site were I can read more about it. Thank you very much!

With clocks, it can be hard to tell you anything about an assembly from just a photo of the case. Here are some tips that can further help the investigation:
1.) Try to find some identifying marking on the case itself. This could be woodburned logos, decals, certificates of origin, etc. Also note that this type of info was usually posted on the back of the case (or inside the case) - sometimes in an inconspicuous area.
2.) Try to identify the movement. The movement (your clock works) may have some type of vendor model number and info etched onto the rear plate. In some cases, the movement identification (even year of production) can help to narrow the search to more specific clock companies.
3.) Since the clock was inheirited, you may want to try to glean some history from those who bestowed it upon you. Info such as where the clock was purchased or the date in which it was aquired may be helpful.
4.) Look for markings on the front/back of the clock face. While this info may not usually indicate the manufacturer, it will usually denote a possibile retailer or distributer (or other info - with older clocks). This can also help narrow the search.

Chris, thanks you for the answer! I turned the clock upside-down and on all faces but I found not even the slightest sign of any markings at all. The only clue I have is an handmade writing made with crayon on the back of the clock, ilisibile, in hungarian language. The caligraphy of the handwriting is aprox from the begining of XXth century. This provide no clue about the clock, unfortunatelly. I hoped that the clock might be identified by it's apearance.
