Post subject: Help ID? From what I collect its an 81 yr old German clock.
Hello, I am new here. My grandmother brought this clock back with her from Beirut. She has had it for 64 years. Still work and rings.
The reason I think it was from 1931 is because it says 31 on what looks like a date on the bottom left corner.
Here are some photos. Any info on it would be appreciated.
Thanks!!

You are probably correct in dating your clock to 1931.
These clocks were imported into the U.K. and other countries in very large numbers from around 1920 to the start of W.W. 2 ( 1939 )
Usually a good-quality German movement ( Junghans ) the outbreak of war caused a halt to German exports, as the clock-makers were forced to go into wartime production of fuses for bombs, clocks for the army, etc.
I have lost count of the number of these clocks I have repaired, there are tens of thousands of them still being used, and still keeping good time for their owners - - -
The cases vary slightly, but are still instantly recognisable as a " type "
Only the decoration on the case varies slightly from clock to clock.
