Post subject: Help identify a clock?
I recently got an older key wind clock. It appears to be made of soapstone from best i can tell. The soapstone has a scroll design on the sides and a brass topper on the very top. The only identifying marks I can find is on the back of the clock mechanism which shows G.R in an oval and the number 845 is stamped under it. The only other marks that I can find are the letters S F on the pendulum. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Your clock looks French. Some German companies copied the French style movements. I searched my books but cannot find the logo in your picture. Is there another logo behind the bell in the six oclock position?
