Post subject: Help identifying a grandfather clock
Good Afternoon. I am trying to get some information on a grandfather clock i received from my grandmother. The only thing I know about it, from what She told me is that it is a Ridgeway. She told me that She bought it new in 1972. It has three tubes and three chains but no swinging pendalum(pardon my spelling). I've done a pretty exhaustive search online and can't seen to find this clock. It says Germany on the face. I am attaching a couple of pictures I snapped with my cell phone in hopes that maybe someone can help me identify it. It doesn't have any markings on the outside of the clock, on the front or back. It does have the key and it actually runs and chimes but doesn't function like it should. Anyway thanks in advance for any help.
Oh yeah, she says it has westminster chimes or something like that. I'm trying to get info so I can insure it, but i have no idea of the value.

more than likely the clockworks were made by Hermle, if you look at the back plate of the movement if should have the movement number, i.e. 141-020 and xxcm the pendulum length. You should be able to get a pendulum for it if you know the movement number.
Like most companies Ridgeway made cases for clocks, and fitted them with clockworks from other manufatcurers.
Maybe if you looked where the movement is housed you might find some information.
