I have wanted to purchase this "Whatever I'm late anyways" clock by nexxt for awhile now:

however after contacting the manufacturer and a few stores that supposedly sell it, I can't find anywhere to purchase it. I'd like to look into replicating this on my own, and I think I could handle the creating the background on the cork board, but that's where it ends. Would anyone be able to give me some general advice on how to go about recreating this clock. Thanks!

If you have the clock face (or cork board) part figured out, then that leaves the movement aspect. The clock movement you will require will depend on your cork board dimensions. There are two factors to consider:

1.) How thick is the cork board. This will tell you what "Maximum Dial Thickness" movement you will require. We sell quartz movements in a variety of shaft lengths (fitting clock faces, or dials, from 1/8" thick up to 3/4" thick). If the clock face is thicker than 3/4", you can also consider the option of a 3" diameter counter-bore on the backside to inset the movement by it's thickness and gain enough shaft length to secure the movement.

2.) How long of a minute hand will you need. We measure minute hand length from the center of the mount hole to the end of the hand. If your minute hand will exceed a length of 7", you will require a high torque quartz movement. If your minute hand will not, you can use a standard quartz movement.

Here's the movement options:

Standard Quartz Movement: http://www.klockit.com/products/dept-157__sku-AAAVV.html

High Torque Version: http://www.klockit.com/products/dept-157__sku-aaaag.html

We also offer continuous sweep versions of each (which is a quieter clock motor without the "tick-tock" sound).

Thanks for the input. I'll keep all this in mind and once I finished the cork board, I'll probably use your advice to purchase the the movement. Thanks!
