I have a handicapped friend that has an old grandfather clock he received from his uncle. It looks to be very old and was bought somewhere in NJ long ago. It stands about 7ft tall and is all original. There are 2 spindals on either side that are decorative and a bird that doesnt exactly look like an eagle. The only letters found are on the face of the clock they read “M. Wiec Satrup” . Several people have looked online and asked people with no luck. The pictures that are available for the clock are printed but not digital and online. The owner took the pictures with a throw away camera but it’s clear enough. It has something he called a moon dial on the top also. There is some beautiful carvings on the face of the clock also but they are hard to describe. He was told it could date around the mid to late 1700’s.

If you had any information on this clock that I could pass on it would be great. He was thinking about possibly selling or at least know it’s insurance value if it’s valuable.

You can post photos on a website designated to do so. There are free sites out there where you can upload a certain amount of photos. Once posted, come back into the forum and provide the link to your photos.
