Post subject: Hermle 351-030A with no chimes
I recently purchased a schoolhouse clock with a Hermle 351-030A movement from an antique show. The clock runs perfectly but It doesn't chime. All the springs seem to be wound & the lever that locks the hammers is released. This is my first experience with a mechanical movement so please bear with me. Thanks.

While disassembling the clock to take a photo of the movement, I used some canned air to clean the dust out of the mechanism. This got things spinning & the chimes worked briefly. So I think the problem is simply the need for a good cleaning & oiling. Can anyone recommend where I can get cleaning instructions & supplies? Thanks!
