Post subject: hermle chimes
My clock, recently completed, did not come with a manual on the mechanics of the chime or clock works.
My clock chimes the correct chime but seven minuts after it should. I have tried resetting the minute hand and that doesn't work because of the square shank on the shaft. I am not enough of a clock person to know how to reset it.
If someone has the manual describing the required "fix", I would pay for a copy or maybe you can just describe it to me by email.

If you have a Hermle movement, the backside of the minute hand will feature a thin hub which rotates independently of the hand. This hub contains the square mounting hole for the minute hand, and the hub and mount hole can be adjusted for chime/time synchronization. You will first need to remove the hand from the center shaft of the clock. Grip the hub (on the backside of the hand) with a pair of pliers so that it remains stationary. Grip the minute hand at the tip and gently rotate it while keeping the hub stationary with the pliers. Since the hand is painted, it may be initially stiff to move. To adjust for the clock chiming seven minutes after the hour, face the front of the minute hand and rotate it counter-clockwise on the hub (about 7 minutes). Replace the hand on the center shaft of the clock movement and rotate it around the clock face (making certain to stop the hand at each quarter hour chime until the chime sequence is completely finished). Check to see if the hand requires further adjustment on the hub. If need be, make further adjustments as previously described.
