Post subject: High Torque Clock motors
Hi guys
New to clock building. Started building my first exposed wooden gear clock I saw in a scroll saw mag and have a couple ideas for other clocks I'd like to build.
I got it stuck in my head that I want to build a clock that tracks year/months/days/hours/min and possibly sec. I'd like to do this with metal gears and good sized ones at that so there will be a bit of weight and was wondering how much torque a clock motor will be able to generate? I am thinking I will need to use a plug in one as the battery motors dont stand a chance.
So do they make a motor strong enough or will I need to have a wind up/weight powered clock?

es they do make a powerful electric motor. You want a 1rpm motor, like below.
