I had posted earlier asking about quiet no-ticking, continous sweep movements (http://www.clockforum.com/completely-silent-movement-i-e-no-ticking-t1070.html ), but with the hands I'm planning on using, I think I'll need a high torque movement as well.

Is the following high torque movement a continous sweep (no ticking): http://www.klockit.com/products/sku-AAAAG.html

I did find a Seiko movement listed as high-torque and continous sweep: http://www.klockit.com/products/sku-10045.html; if it's the only one, I''ll spring for it, but it's a bit pricier and my clock will be a low-price DIY affair.

The 10045 would be the correct choice. It is a bit pricier, but that is due to the movement accomodating two features: 1.) Being able to run a minute hand that is longer than 7" through the high torque feature, and 2.) Having the continuous sweep action to help quiet the "tick" sound of the clock motor.

Note: If you can use a minute hand that is 7" or less (from center mounting hub to the end of the hand), then you would not need the high torque movement. Just a standard continuous sweep movement will work.

thanks. I'll spring for the 10045. I do plan on using a larger minute hand.
