Post subject: Hijacking
Sorry about that. The web sites that I frequent allows reference to the same subject on the same thread. It was not intentional! The final fix for the hour hand that I could not place on the clock was taken care of by a local clock shop. He reamed out the hole and one second later it was on and I was $5.00 less rich. Money well spent! My only problem now is that the clock has not set itself to the proper time and it has been 24 hours since I hung it. Since it is radio controlled I was wondering if it was because he manually moved the hands but did not try to attemp to set it. What would you suggest?
Thanks

AHHHH! RADIO CONTROLLED. damn things.
The hands should have been put on when it set it self to the correct time.
they need removing and putting on to the correct time.
Trouble is with these is that they check thelmselves at a few times per 24 hours depending on where you are in the world. if you don't get it right first time you have to keep trying until you get it smack on.

Well pulling the hands off is really not on my agenda just at this moment. Seems like I didn't get my five dollars worth. In my lifetime that is not an unsual thing. I will try the easiest thing first and probably the one thing that will not work. I will move the hands manually and see what that brings after several attempts, of not getting it right, and then I think that I will take it back for another five dollar fix! Thanks for your help.

In regard to RC movements... sometimes there may be things that inihibit the clock from recieving the radio signal to adjust time. Try setting the clock next to a window which faces the direction of the radio signal (example - in America, clocks should face towards the direction of Colorado). Leave the clock there overnight - as AM radio signals are stronger in the evenings (when sunlight does not hamper the singal). Also - when trying to recieve the signal, keep the clock away from electronic equipment which emits high energy frequencies (like large TVs, microwave ovens, flourecent lighting, etc). If this does not work, then you may have to consult the instructions to reset the RC clock movement.

I will give the location a try. It is located now along side the television. I will move it and turn it in the proper direction. Then I will beat the devel out of it if it dosn't reset properly!
Thanks

Before you beat the devil out of it - give it about 24 night hours (or two 12 hour nights) to latch onto the signal. It should really only take one night - but it all depends on how strong the signal is in your area.

Post subject: Surprise fix
I am located in the Mountain time zone, and had originally set the clock for that zone. The clock kept setting itself two hours late, so I decided to try Pacific time, and it was still an hour off. The time instantly changed, but it just wasn't right. So I decided to go through the different zones and see what would happen. I set the clock to Eastern zone and the clock set itself properly. The bottom line is that I may have to rese it at a later time but as for now everything is running fine!
THANKS for all your help.
