i bought a generic grandfather clock with no name of anything. it has two holes in the face of the clock and that is where you wind it up. how often am i suppose to have to wind it? it is already losing time!

most likely it is an 8 day clock, so just wind it once a week.

Winding it does not affect how accurate it is keeping time. To speed it up, screw the nut at the bottom of the pendulum bob to the right, raising the bob slightly. Continue adjusting daily until it keeps good time.
