I am working to restore a grandfather clock movement. It is clean and the beat is adjusted. When the three weights are approximately level with the pendulum bob, the pendulum stops swinging. Any ideas as to what the problem is and what may be the solution. It is a Keininger chain driven triple chime movement.

my guess is that one of the weights is occasional bumping the pendulum most likely the center one, this can be caused by a slight wobble in the pendulum swing or vibration to the clock case that causes the weights to swing slightly or all of the above.
