Post subject: Identifying Movement in 50+ year old clock
Hello, I am new to the forum and hope someone can help me with my problems. I recently recieved a clock my great-grandfather built over 50 years ago. Unfortunately, I transported it with the chime bars not blocked and now have some repair work to do. 7 of the 8 bars broke in transit.
All I can see on the back of the movement is
1) Original Swinger
2) Made in Germany
Any chance of getting original parts for this timepiece?

You can check with Timesavers (timesavers.com) to see if they have replacement parts available. Merritt's Antiques would be another site you could check. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with this brand of movement to offer any further recommendations.

The Original Swinger is printed around a circle. The only other markings are an 8 63. This is stamped under the logo, and has a space between the 8 and 63 . I don't know if that helps at all or not.

Not sure you will be able to get original parts.
Without seeing it I'm afraid we probably won't be able to help onhere...best go to a repairer.
