ingraham clock stops

Ive got a eight day ingraham clock maybe 1930's at five minutes before the hour it just stops if I turn the minute hand to twelve it will chime and go around and at 5 minutes before the hour it will stop again.What could be wrong?Thanks

I think you will find it is pushed on tight by machine unless you can find a pin running thro the brass and steel.
Usually people put on a holed stake or vice and use a holed punch to tap the steel center out.

Mark where you take it off so it goes on in the same place and note which way it goes back on too.
