Post subject: Ingraham Dew Drop "Americs First" Calander Clock??
I found a clock in an attic and I cant find anything about it so I was told to come here to get some help with it. It has a label on the back that says Ingraham Dew Drop Calander Clock but on the front there is a paper face that has come loose from the clock and behind it is the original calander face. On the one that came loose is an eagle holding some arrows and some scroll work there is a piece of glass with ferns and stars on the bottom where the pendulum is, Inside that glass is a sticker that says america first. The paper face fits perfectly over the original face, the key hole linds up and it is the exact size so i'm assuming it was done by ingraham as a special edition maybe? I can try to get some pics if that would help. I'm just trying to find out what I can about this clock. it's a cool looking clock.
Thanks in advance.

With the paper face described, it almost sounds like your assembly could be very similar to the one listed in the auction link below:
From what I have seen on the internet, this style of clock seems to be manufactured in the late 1800's/early 1900's (looks like between 1895 and 1910). More than likely, this assembly pre-dates WWII (as Ingraham ceased all production during WWII, and pendulum clock production directly after WWII).
Thats exactly what the face under the 2nd paper face looks like but there is a "new" paper face over it with an eagle on it like I described before and then the sticker by the pendulum that says "America First" It was definately added after the clock was made but it's such a perfect fit that it had to be done at Ingraham I would think. I cant find another one anywhere on the internet.

most likely the old paper face was deterioating, and a new one placed over it, a very common practice.

For picture posting, post the photo on a free photo site (such as flicker) and then provide the link here...
