Post subject: It Has Gears and a Key and it Ticks - What is It?
I'm always on the look out for clock movements to use for projects and recently I found an item I can't identify.
It is round - 3-1/2" in diameter.
Inside is a geared mechanical movement that is wound by a key from the back.
The front face plate is marked Japan and has a shaft coming through the center. The shaft has a 1-1/2" diameter gear attached to it.
To either side of the gear there are holes, one marked 1 day, one marked 7 day.
Included with the item are two gears, one marked "1" and one marked "7".
My curiosity is killing me.
Any ideas? I can post images if someone can guide me through the process.
