Post subject: Japanese jewelry box clock
My wife's mother had this clock on her nightstand for most of her life. We're guessing that one of her sons brought it back after WWII. There aren't any identifying marks other than the painting on the box. The box is about 3 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches and 2 inches tall. It appears to be made of stamped tin.
It isn't working and we'd like to have it repaired. We're hoping someone here can help us identify the clock and refer us to someone who can repair this clock.
is it a wind-up clock, or does it run on a battery?

most likely you could have a battery movement put in to replace it, retrofit another windup movement, or a clockman could give it a cleaning and oiling. Generally these type of clocks were made very cheaply, and replacement parts are not readily available
