Post subject: Jauch 77 Chime Anomaly
My parents just gave me their grandfather clock - the one I remember so fondly from my youth! It is a Montgomary Ward clock, Cornwall CCM 9091 A with an Erhard Jauch 77 movement.
It works much better than I anticipated it working, keeping excellent time. What's odd is that the chime count is sometimes correct, sometimes not. Today I paid attention as close as I could and came up with this:
Noon = 12 chimes
One = 1
Two =2
Three = 3
Six = 6
Nine = 7
Ten =8
Eleven = 9
Midnight = 10
One am is coming soon!
I've noticed the counts being wrong other nights, but mostly correct during the day. I will continue to count as often as I am able and remember. Any suggestions?

It is impossible to determine the problem without watching the movement as it strikes. There are several things that could cause this to happen.

Perhaps I can set up my video camera and post a video.
In the meantime, it was perfect at 8, 9, and 10 this morning.
