I have the erhard jauch uhrenfabrik movement and I had seen where you can replace it with a 451-020 94cm. What is the difference with 020 and the 050. Also the 94cm I seen a 451-050 85cm movement what is that difference and will it work to replace the jauch I have?

In a 451 020 Hermle movement the '2' in the 020 indicates that it has bottom mounted chime hammers. However, in the crossover sheet from Jauch to Hermle I don't see where a Jauch movement is replaced with a 451 020. e.g. the J77 Jauch movement used frequently in kit clocks can be replaced with a Hermle 451 050/94cm and requires an extra lead filler for the chime weight. It's important to know which model Jauch movement that you have.

Addendum to previous post.

In fact I don't recall ever seeing a 451 020 movement used in a grandfather/mother case

All smaller grandfather/mother weight wound clocks would usually use a 451 050 or similar Hermle movement.

The numbers on the movement are 77 275 323790. I assume that is the J77 movement.

The '77' in the prefix would be the J77 Jauch movement.

Some existing parts can be salvaged for reuse with a new movement thus there is a savings. e.g. weight shells, fillings and dial. The pendulum might be reuseable also. The only difference might be in the type of pendulum hook. An extra lead filler or lead shot will be required for the chime weight shell since the Hermle chime train uses a heavier weight than Jauch. The time and strike weights are the same.
