Post subject: Junghans swinging arm clock - HELP
Hi, I got a swinging clock for service and I need some help.
I cleaned and oiled the movement, it does not show wear, bushings are OK, gear train runs smooth...
But after assembling the clock it does not keep swinging for more than a minute. Beat is perfectly centered and the jeweled bar is good.
I don't know where to look for problem! Anyone experienced with this type of clock can help me please?

If this is a pendulum movement, check to make certain the suspension spring is not broken. The suspension spring is the small metal piece which the pendulum leader hangs from (the pendulum, in turn, hangs from the leader). Typical suspension spirngs will be two thin metal plates which are attached by two small metal bands in between each plate. If either (or both) bands of the suspension spring are broken, then the pendulum will not continue to swing.

Chris, thanks for your try, but this type of clock does not have suspension spring for miniature internal pendulum.
This is the clock type I am referring to:

As you've tried all else, try renewing the mainspring. after years of use it's probably weakish now.
