Hi folks, I just got a old mantle clock Seth Thomas 1906.
The clock will only run a minute or so perfectly leveled left to right. I get a good tick-tock, even etc.
However if I pitch the front legs up about 1/4" higher than the back legs, the clock runs fine, and is still running.
Why is this? Could this be worn bushings?
Could it be that the attachments screw to the face need to be bushed, to tip the top of the works backward?
Thanks, Ted
