Post subject: locating source of transfers for clock glass***
Hey chris and all, I need the address of sources for clock transfers so I can complete my clock's rehab. I have checked internet, etc but not able to locate anything! This clock restoration won't look good if it is missing the gold transfer artwork that was on the original glasswork. I cant understand why CLOCKIT doesnt have this? Thanx for your aid jimt35769@yahoo.com

Ceramic suppliers may have transfers that you may be able to use. You could also check with woodworking supply catalogs (Rockler, etc.). You could also check to see if there are any stained glass restoration shops locally (as they will typically be required to re-paint artwork on stained glass for churches, etc.). You could also visit your local paint store for some type of paint that will adhere to glass (in the coloration you desire). You may be able to mask off areas and paint (while still keeping a defined edge line for the gold accenting).
I am not certain if gold-leafing could possibly work - however I thought I would offer it as another possible suggestion. I believe that Klockit (at one time) had offered a glass etching kit as well as a gold-leafing kit. Unfortunately, these products were since discontinued from the catalog due to sluggish sales.

have you tried timesavers? They have many transfers. I assume you are restoring a kitchen clock.
