Post subject: Main Spring
Now what???
The main spring measures 16.92 mm wide, .40 mm thick, Approx. 39" or 40" long (it is broken in several pieces) and the diameter is 34.5 mm.
I don't find a very good match at the Clockworks website. What is the most important measurement? Obviously it can't be too wide or it wouldn't fit but it can't be too much longer or that wouldn't fit either.
Is there a better site to find the part?

"wide" = height. = 17mm
.40 is thick = strength
35mm is diameter.
174035 or 17x.40x35mm is the one you want.
Possibly Timesavers, Meadows and Passmore, don't know if Butterworths do them (password butterworth x2).
you can also get the complete number 40 barrel which would avoid you struggling to put the mainspring back in the barrel.
