Post subject: Mantel Clock Movement
I have a mantel clock with F H T stamped on the movement. There are not other identifing markings on the clock. What do these letters stand for and does this have anyting to do with the make of the clock?

I must admit that this one has me stumped. I thought it might be a Hermle movement (F.H. could possibly stand for Franz Hermle), however Hermle typically assigns a model number to each movement (which would also be etched onto the rear plate). Also, the "T" does not correlate (as the company is typically reffered to as Franz Hermle and Sons).
Kieninger was another thought, as they will typically use three letters to designate the movement model number. That being said, I can not seem to locate a Kieninger movement model F H T.
I must admit that I only have access to current model numbers for either company. If this is an older clock, it could be that this movement model was eventually discontinued from the manufacturer line (which might explain why I could not find anything between Hermle and Kieninger). It could also be a movement from a manufacturer that I am completely unfamiliar with.
Keep checking back within this forum, as we have many patrons who are far more knowledgeable than myself in regard to mechanical movements.
