Post subject: mechanical movement
I need a clock movement capable of turning a piece of wood paneling instead of a second hand. In other words, I would like to install a clock movement on which I can place a piece of wood paneling so that as the second hand movement is working, the piece of paneling will turn. Possible?

The wood would have to be really lightweight (maybe balsa) for an ordinary (battery-operated) clock motor to do the job - - And it would probably require use of a high torque movement if a movement would be capable of this. To be honest, I am not certain a mechanical movement or high torque (battery-operated) movement would be capable of doing the job. Have you looked into an electric motor as a possible option?
