Moon Dial Help?

I have just finished replacing the movement in our GF clock with a Hermle unit.
It is working nearly perfect.
I am still having one issue that's got me stumped.
The moon dial is not functioning. I bought the moon trip attachment made for this movement application and installed it correctly but I think there is a missing spring on the moon dial actuator. There is nothing to hold the actuator onto the moon dial gear so when the trip attachment try's to hit it, there is nothing to hit.
I haven't had much luck finding a photo of the rear of a moon dial face.
If anyone could provide it I think it will give me the answer...

can't remember off the top of my head what it's like now.

Don't have one i can look at either at the mo.

I guess the gear is sliding away from the date wheel?

I am assuming that is correct. Its quite difficult to see exactly what is happening in that area.
