Post subject: Movement, pendulum, weight reference Grandfather clocks
I was looking at reviving an old grandfather movement, but wanted to find a reference. I want to be able to put in the movement description and be able to find the matching pendulum type, pendulum leader type, and the exact weight of each weight. Is there any source like this?
THanks,
Scott

I think he is looking for a cross reference book where he would look up the movement manufacturer to get the details on the movement for ordering parts.

Amrad,
You got it!
The best solution would be an online database. Does anyone know of one? I have aquired a variety of movements, and want to rebuild a clock from the movement up and put it in a handmade case.
Thanks.

What mfg of movements are they? Most Hermle movements in the last 30yrs are still in production, so you may be able to get info from clock part sellers.
As far as I know there is no real database or book that has the info you seek.

You could post the movement model number within this forum. From that point, we can point you in the right direction for replacement parts. Aside from that, it would be nice to have some sort of cross reference manual (at least for more modern movements made thoughout the last 60 years or so).

One that I have is a Hermle movement, W Germany 1051 030A 45cm. I need to find all parts. Pendulum, crutch, suspension spring and compatible face. Any idea how I find what will work.
Thanks.

This is not a movement that Klockit carries (or has carried in the past), but you may be able to find the parts you need through Timesavers.
