I am a beginner clock maker and I am making my first clock with a pendulum. It is movement #11107. My question is can I make the pendulum shorter for it to still work? Thanks

Yes you can, the pendulum on a quartz movement does not affect the timekeeping of the clock as in a mechanical movement.

As an addendum, all quartz pendulum movements available from Klockit (including #11107) feature a break-away pendulum stick. This stick comes in a set lnegth, but is etched on the backside at 1" increments (or there-abouts). To customize pendulum length, grip the portion of the pendulum (to be removed) with a pair of pliers and bend it back and forth. The portion not being used will break away. From that point, the bob can be slipped onto the pendulum stick and the pendulum can be mounted to the movement.
