Post subject: Music Box Arm Adjustment
I have a clock that works well but I can not get the music to play. Sometime the pivot are moves out but does not spring back and the spring is good. Other times when I look in the back the arm from the movement has moved too far to the left and does not trip the music release arm. I took a pert to clean but can not get the arm going up to the music box in the right position. The arm has a bend with a wire at the top but I am sure you know that. How and where do I position the arm from the movement to the music box in reference to the pivot arm coming out of the music box. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Does the wire on the end off the movement arm go on the right or left of the trigger arm on the music box?

It sounds as though you have a mechanical style cuckoo clock? This is only a guess, as I am not too familiar with many clocks that mechanically trigger a music box device (aside from a mechanical cuckoo). I think that, in this instance, photos would be helpful to further illustrate your post description. Photos can be uploaded to free photo sharing sites (such as Flickr). From there, you can provide the link to those photos within this forum post.
While I can not promise that I would be able to assist, we do have several forum patrons who might have a lot more experience than I with this type of clock.
