Hi all
does any know why my vienna wall clock will not work as the gut the weight hangs on gets tangled up when winding up

It needs to get fully unwound before putting the weight on and winding up again to keep the gut on the groove .

As the last person said,you will need to unwind the gut fully off the offending arbour.The clock will not function unless the gut has been fully unwound.It can be a fiddly job and it is best if you are able to remove the movement from the case before trying to unwind it.
