I took apart a Hermle 141-070 movement to clean and oil but now I can't remember which mainspring barrel is for the timetrain and which is for the striketrain. Confused One is marked 10 and the other 11. Can someone please help me out here?

In the case of the 141 070 movement it appears that the #10 barrel is for the strike side and #11 is for the time side.

Thanks Clkwrx!!!

Even though you helped me out I still learned a lesson and will remember to write things like that down instead of relying on my memory.

I have a Pearl Grandfather clcok with a Hermle Movement and I can't seem to get it to work properly. Looking for suggestions what should I do first?

Aalesi, I think you should make another thread asking about the Hermle grandfather clock movement because others might look at my original subject title and see the 141-071 movement mentioned and pass up this thread if they don't have anything to say about this particular movement (which is a "bim-bam" strike wall clock movement and not for a grandfather clock).

You should also explain what particularly isn't working properly--if the clock stops, doesn't chime correctly, etc.

I'm an amateur clock repair student learning by refurbishing used movements and haven't ever dealt with grandfather clocks so I'm not qualified to give advise yet but hopefully someone else around here can help you.
