Hi
I have opened a new Black Wood mechanical movement cuckoo clock. It has three pulleys: one for the bird, one for the movement, and a third one for a water wheel. The pulley for the main movement does not hold the weight. Looking inside it seems to my inexperienced eyes that the chain came off its proper "canal". The back of the clock can not open. How can I return the chain to its proper place?

Hold the clock upside down making sure the other chains don't come off their pulleys. Look down into the holes where the chain goes.
Manovure the chains in your fingers and lower the chain so it dangles over the pulley and engage it again.. Keep the chain taught while you turn the clock upright again and try that.
