We recently bought a 8 day mantle clock manufactured by the new england clock company with a registered serial number 8501011 and were interested in determining when the clock was made. Is there anyone who could help me with my search?

The New England Clock Co was in business from 1959 to approximately 2000. I have never seen a list of serial numbers with dates of manufacture for their clocks. Their clocks were assembled in the US, probably with American built cases, but the movements they used were manufactured by other firms.
Photos of your clock including shots of the movement might offer a clue as to its age.
