Post subject: New to the forum, I have a clock ordering question...
I want to order some Atomic Clock Movements. On the info page there is a column "Maximum Dial Thickness". What does that mean?
I know what stem length is.

that is the thickness of the dial the threaded shaft of the movement can accomodate, i.e. if your dial and backer board is 1/2" thick, and the length of the threaded shaft is 3/4" this would fit.

I'll be mounting the movements into a routed depression in a 1" thick Walnut board, so I can adjust the depth of the depression to fit the stem length.
