I have a clock made by the Arizona Clock Co of NY and it needs to be cleaned. Since it has drums on the springs I believe I have to take it apart to remove the drums and then clean the clock. This process does not appeal to me since I envision wheels going everywhere when I take off one plate but I need help in how to proceed. I have a let down tool but have no idea how to use it.

I did it once, and it is not for the faint of heart, very scary and dangerous!

You can always look into contacting a professional, one who would be experienced at cleaning and servicing clock movements.
