Novice Clock Builder Needs Help

Hi, I am only on my third or fourth clock and this is the first clock that I have built that has a pendulum. For some reason, I have not been able to attach the minute hand to the movement. I have tried several different styles of minute hands and none of them seems to fit. Unfortunately, being a novice, I do not know the type of movement that I am using. Is there some trick to attaching minute hands that I am not doing? All of the other movements that I used in the past just required simple assembly so I don't know if I am supposed to do something special. If someone can direct me to a user's manual where I can follow directions, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
