I have several old brass rear mount movements,
I have seen them refered to as "tripple deckers"
its a larger movement with 3 vertical gear trains (spring drive)
of equal diameter. one is in a beehive marked
Brewster Ingraham (circa 1847), another is marked New Haven
3 are unmarked, and I saw one today marked E.N Welch
The only difference ive ever noticed is on some of the "
Strike count side.
Does anybody know WHO really made this movement?
or did they steal the design ?? its a good movement,
just wish i knew who really invented it......
HELP ...Sombody, i'm perplexed
