Hi amrad/guys.

one of my movements has a lever top right hand rear, which when operated has the affect of setting the strike mechanism in motion.
it has an eye in it which makes me think it was once attached to something outside of the movement..

only way i can desribe it is it reminds me a real old camera shutter lever..
anyone know what this is please

sorry.. its a gustave becker 8 day double chimer .thats about all i know about the movement so far

this lever is used to reset the chime/strike to the correct hour or set the chime in motion to check if it's working properly.

usually a piece of thin cord is attached and hangs down to pull to check if the chime is correct or to make it repeat the last motion.
