Hi,

I was replacing the battery on a 'slice-of-a-tree-with-a-clock-face' craft type clock and I stupidly rested it face down on a table. The weight of the clock pushed the post through and popped the back of the movement off. I don't think anything broke, but it looks like the white plastic cogs are out of position. I noticed there are kits on here for total assembly; looks like I generated a project like that. I know I can buy a replacement, but why not give it a try for fun? Where would I go to see how these things are supposed to go together?

Thanks!

Patrick

I am not aware of any sites which would have quartz movement assembly instructions for the interior gears, but you may contact Klockit for a copy of the #10005A instructions. When you e-mail Klockit, request that the e-mail be forwarded to Chris in Technical Support. I should be able to provide a PDF copy of the instructions via e-mail.

I can not vouch that these instructions (which are for a different type quartz movement) will pertain to your movement, but it is worth a shot. The inverse is that there is not too much difference between standard quartz movements. My only fear is that the center shaft may have been damaged during dissassembly of your clock. If so, you may need to replace the movement (which would run around $5).
