Hi

Does anyone know of an open source CAD program that can be used for the design of escapements? I am reading Mark Headrick’s Horology Page on the Abbey Clock Clinic site and am finding it very interesting but cannot afford, and do not want to buy or use a commercial product. I would prefer to run Linux software but at a pinch could use Windows XP pro. To be able to rotate the components in simulation is a very desirable thing but so far I have not been able to find anything on Sourceforge that come anywhere near what I am looking for.

Cheers

Alan

DraftSight is a free 2D cad program equal to or better than Autocad.
