Post subject: pendelum not moving
i hung our clock up after it has been stored in a box for more than 10 years. the pendelum moves and then it stops. the clock seems to be level.
what else is there for me to do?

I assume this is a mechanical keywind clock and was wound up after being hung.
Listen for an even tick tock sound after the clock is hung on the wall. That may be why it doesn't run more than a minute. Visually level may not be mechanically level.
Chances are, however, that the clock, after more than ten years of storage, is in need of cleaning and oiling.

you were correct about everything.mechanically level - we hung it and used a level on top of clock to level it. if this is not correct, please help. can we clean it ourselves? We oiled the pendelum.

Clock oils can get thick and heavy after not running for a few years. I agree with clkwrx that it probably needs cleaning and re lubed.
Also check that it is level front to back. I just recently had a friend call me to his house to look at his clock. he assured me it was level on his mantel but when I set the clock on the table it started to run right away.
