Brand Odolvez (the name signed on the dial, you can see that on the pictures) pendulum escapement spiral (Recoil Anchor Escapement (if I am not wrong in a terms) Louis XV style.
Bronze, ormolu case heavy and gilded is in excellent condition with clean and bright finish and there are no losses at all (look at the pictures!).
Delicate hands, beveled front glass.
The clock has a Roman numeral dial with enamel cartouche.
Dimensions high – 13 in (33 cm), long – 3 3/4 in (9.5 cm).
Movement is in a very good condition running and charming properly (the clock rings the hours and half hours with a double ton.), oiled and tested by myself (I am a clock master with 20 years experience from clock masters dynasty).
The clock is complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key
The clock has a very heavy weight around 3.5 kg (7 pounds).
Again, I believe, this is a French made clock by the Odobez family of clockmakers (by the way they're still making clocks in much the same way as they did a hundred years ago in the Ural mountains of the Comte province near the Swiss border.
It does looks like modern copy of antique Louis XV clock, made 30-40 years ago, but I would not be surprise if will clear more early age.
It is designed to be on a table (or special shelf Luis XV style) for in a XIX century lady night room. May be because of that it has a peculiar character (like all Morbier and the smaller Morez) that most strike twice on the hour. This just to let you know the hour in case you didn't hear it the first time!
It dresses and fills of elegance the place where you locate it.
