I'm looking for a quartz Westminster movement, which Klockit does carry - but it has a pendulum, which the clock I want to put it in can't accommodate. Does anyone know if a movement which has a pendulum will work properly without one? (Or, alternatively, where I can get a quartz Westminster movement without a pendulum)??

Thanks!!

The pendulum on a battery operated quartz movement is simply for show (it bears no function what-so-ever to battery movement timekeeping). The pendulum could be ommitted from a quartz movement. Note that there will be plastic pins on either side of the pendulum leader arm (the pins are part of the plastic movement casing). The pedulum leader (the part you hang the actual pendulum on) should have a clip on one or both sides. The pendulum leader can be clipped onto the casing pin so that it would not move. The inverse is that you could also look for a non-pendulum version of the movement. If one is not available, then follow the suggestion above.

Neat fact: A non-pendulum quartz movement is simply the same movement as its pemdulum counter-part (with the pendulum leader removed from the movement casing)...
