I have ordered but haven't yet received plans for a wall clock. Can anyone tell me if the plans include what I will need to cut my own wood as well as assemble? Thank you.

Stan,

It will largely depend on which plan you had ordered as far as required equipment. You can safely assume that minimum requirements will include a table saw, scroll or band saw, router (in many cases), planer, and joiner. In instances where counter-bored or counter-sunk holes are required, a drill press comes in quite handy.

In regard to assembly, the plan should include assembly instructions and illustrations. Please note that in some cases, with plans we sell from other vendors, this may vary slightly. In the event that you have any questions with assembly, you may contact a technican at Klockit (1-800-556-2548).

Chris,

Thanks for your response. My question is, do the plans include dimensions and cutting information; i.e., will it be apparent what width, length and thickness to cut each piece? And are there dimensioned drawings?

I can draw my own plans on my computer if I have to, and figure out sizes as I go. I'm using some American Chestnut I have, which is extraordinarily difficult to come by, and I want to keep waste down to an absolute minimum.

Thanks.

Stan,

The plans will illustrate the finished dimensions of all wood parts necessary for assembly. Dimensions will include length, width, thickness, as well as denote any other dimensional requirements (for screw holes, tenon slots, etc.). You should not be required to do any sort of plan drawing on your own computer.

Chris,

I just got the component kits and plans. I have looked over the plans and they appear to be well done and complete.

The reason I was concerned is that I have only ever purchased plans on one occasion, recently, and the drawings were disappointing; nowhere near the quality of what I see from Klockit.

Thanks again.
